There are few things in this world that bring us close to that feeling of taking someone’s life, but as we’re told in movies “there’s nothing quite like that feeling of power.”

Whether or not any sane person wants to know what that feels like, one shop assistant at a Betoota bait & tackle shop is today getting a taste of that power and, boy, does he like it.

At the beginning of his shift, Nigel Swampson, was given the responsibility of checking every customers’ temperature before they were allowed into the store and while most normal people would just hold the temperature gun to people’s head in the least threatening way possible, Nigel has taken a slightly different approach to the temperature check.

“Jesus Christ,” revealed one shaken customer.

“He fully took a wide-legged stance, held the temperature gun with both hands, and pointed it directly at our head” recalled another.

“I think he even asked me where I’d been earlier in the day, that’s definitely not information he needs to know”

Speaking with The Advocate after his shift, Nigel confirmed what all his customers feared, he felt the power.

“Wow, I’ve never held a gun in real life, like I’ve held it in video games, but to hold that temperature gun to someone’s head like that – it was like their life was in my hands”

Following the interview, our reporter promptly registered their concern for Nigel and his propensity to become some kind of pro-gun psychopath with the store’s manager and police, the store manager assured The Advocate that Nigel would never again be put on temperature check duty.

More to come.
