One of Australia’s brightest young stars is today taking some time out to enjoy himself, after a huge weekend.
The young fella from Brighton is currently a few sheets to the wind with a Watermelon Ice vape in hand following a stunning victory in the Shanghai Grand Prix.
Oscar Piastri stormed home to victory in the Chinese fixture after a tough weekend in front of his family and friends in Melbourne.
After a nightmare in the first race of the season, the McLaren driver never gave up the lead he earned in qualifying in to win the third GP of his blossoming career.
“Yeah partying in Budapest was wild, but it’s real nice to just kick back and have a few real nice cold ones and reflect on it all here in Shanghai,” said Piastri to our reporter.
“Linked up with a few random Aussies who are over here for the Socceroos, and just enjoying all that this great city has to offer.”
“The bar we are at has kindly kept the Grand Prix beer special going for me, and I might even treat myself to a couple of Double Happinesses.”
“Life is good.”
“Gonna try stick around for the Roos tomorrow night which should be fun.”
“And then we roll on to the Land of the Rising Sun.”
“Couple of Strong Zeroes and my weight in gyoza if I win over there I reckon.”
More to come.
