A local blue and gold wearing man from Betoota Heights is today sighing his way through a rather tough Monday.
Will Gibson explained to The Advocate that yesterday afternoon’s NRL bloodbath was the shittest way to end a weekend.
“Yeah, I blew out Saturday night and was battling all day Sunday,” sighed Gibson.
“But, the 4pm Sunday arvo rugby league game had me hanging in there.”
“Until I turned it off half way through the second half,” he said.
“And yes, I missed the bullshit consolation try to spare us one for the history books,” continued the man whose team has suffered back to back drubbings to the start the season.
Fresh off a 56-18 pumping at the hands of the Storm, the Eels were belted 32-6 by a Tigers team that helped create one of the worst first halves of football anyone has ever seen.
“Yeah, I’ve cancelled my Kayo and put my TV into the storage cupboard,” said Gibson.
“It’s going to be a grim year.”
Our reporter then begrudgingly asked him what’s the matter, Parramatta.
“A lot mate,” he grimaced.
“A fucking lot.”
“The whole thing is the matter.”
“I don’t even know where to start.”
“Just pack the whole thing up.”
