The South East Corner and Northern Coast of NSW are battening down the hatches today, as it prepares for Tropical Cyclone Alfred to make landfall.
Experts have predicted the weather event may hit the coast of Brisbane’s northern suburbs at some point tomorrow or Friday morning.
Damaging wind gusts, storms, and heavy rainfall are expected to impact a large warning zone spanning Queensland and NSW.
The frightening weather event that has seen citizens in the impacted areas certainly get bang for the 4 cents a day to have a local broadcaster relaying emergency information – has seen many attempt to stock up in case they are cut off from food and power for 6 weeks or something.
In the coast parts of the Gold Coast, that has seen chemists stripped bare of fake tan and teeth whitener, with residents preparing for the worst.
“Look, even if I can’t go out, I can still post workouts from my garage or home,” said one local influencer from the Glitter Strip.
“And rain hail or cyclone, Run Club goes on.”
It’s believed chicken, brown rice and coconut water have also been stripped from shelves of local supermarket ahead of the generational weather event, that has nothing to do with man made climate change.
More to come.
