The nation’s Defence Minister has this week revealed how desperate his party is getting ahead of the federal election, by telling the nation that we need to prepare for war.

Speaking yesterday, Dutton decided to politicise a sacred national day of remembrance by comparing China and Russia to Nazi Germany before World War II and urging the nation to get ready for a war.

“The only way you can preserve peace is to prepare for war and to be strong as a country,” Mr Dutton said.

“Not to cower or be on bended knee or be weak. That’s the reality,” said the man who won’t reveal why he ran away from the Queensland Police Force in questionable circumstances.

He then continued to allude to the 1930s, claiming that we were living in a similar period of time to the one where the Germans geared up to take over Europe.

The beating of the drums of war has drawn the ire of the many, with plenty of criticism leveled at a man who has seemingly done little to prevent or prepare for conflict, other than run his mouth.

However, while security and defence bosses have asked Dutton to stop trying to scare people into voting for his government, the man who couldn’t handle the police force says he’s up for managing China.

Not by managing the situation by seeking to maintain relationships with key strategic partners like the Solomon Islands, or trying to hose down diplomatic trade spats, or getting submarines here before 2040 – but by talking shit in front of the media to try and get some cheap headlines.

“Australia needs a government who will stand up to China, who won’t be bullied,” continued the man who hasn’t done anything to stand up to China other than say that he is standing up to China.

“If you vote for the Labor party in this election, there will be Chinese boots on your doorsteps by Christmas.”
