The Government of the People’s Republic of Western Australia (DPRWA) is seeking revenge after losing the Perth Test this afternoon to Hobart or Melbourne, with the hermit kingdom’s Supreme Leader Mark McGowan telling the state’s media that he will steal the famous Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race from New South Wales in response.

After the DPRWA Government refused to budge on their extremely tight border restrictions with the outside world, Cricket Australia was left with no other choice but to move on.

“It’s disappointing that Supreme Leader McGowan wasn’t able to come to the table,” said CA’s Comms Director, Daryn Daryl.

“But understandable. He needs to protect his people from the evils of the Eastern World. So far, he’s done a good job of it. The human suffering and misery seen in places like Melbourne and surroundings was just terrible,”

“But that was a long time ago and unfortunately, the DPRWA is stuck in history. The rest of the world has moved on. The fifth Ashes Test will probably be back at the MCG because they love sport down there and will turn up. From a commercial point of view, it’s a no-brainer.”

In response, the DPRWA has announced that they plan to steal the iconic Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and have it relocated to Perth.

“We will get our revenge on our enemies,” said McGowan on the West Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s news channel.

“We will steal the Sydney to Hobart Race and move it to Perth. We will restore the Royal Perth Yacht Club to its eternal glory.”

More to come.
