A Spanish man who got kissed by the Pangolin just last week has somehow risen from his death-bed to win the US Open in San Diego today.

Coming from behind, Spaniard Jon Rahm won the golf major by a shot and it comes after he had to withdraw from a tournament earlier this month due to a positive test result for the spicy cough.

The result has left a number of politicians here confused, namely NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian who said it looks pretty silly now to lockdown her state as the Bondi cluster grows and grows.

“I mean, golf is not the most athletic sport in the world,” she told media in Sydney a short time ago.

“But to have this thing and then be able to go out and do that just a week later. It seems like a bit of an over-reaction to force another lockdown if you ask me,”

“Call me crazy but maybe we should just swing the gates on this thing? Like open the borders and just let nature run its course? Get the jab and we move on with our lives. If you die, you die. If you live, well, you might even win the US Open it seems.”

More to come.
