American adult entertainment publisher Hugh Hefner has died aged 91 today in Los Angeles.

The Playboy founder died of natural causes earlier this morning at the Playboy Mansion near Beverly Hills, surrounded by family and close friends.

Reaction to the publishing mogul’s death has been felt around the world, with people from all walks of life from all over the world pausing to remember him.

On Twitter, the hashtag ‘#PutOutYourViagra’ is now trending worldwide as tens of thousands of Playboy readers and subscribers pay tribute to the late man.

One local avid reader of Playboy spoke to The Advocate a few moments ago to share his memories of Mr Hefner and his famous magazine.

Dale Packham joined the online movement prior to speaking to our reporters, placing his own Viagra tablets on the doormat of his Sotuh Betoota California bungalow.

“I can’t believe he’s gone,” he said.

“Well, I kind of can. He was 91, but I never expected it. But I’ll be forever thankful for not only what he gave me but to millions of men around the world,”

“Playboy was my teenage portal into the unknown world of women and for that, Hugh, rest in peace. You’ve done a service to the men of the planet that you’ll never appreciate.”

Vale Hugh Hefner
