TODAY MARKS INTERNATIONAL WOMENS’ DAY and to celebrate socialite Kim Kardashian has posted a nude selfie to Instagram in an effort to turn the tide against her waning popularity and credibility.

Reverting to her favourite method of drumming up publicity, the 35-year-old posted the first of what’s expected to be three nude photographs she plans to publish this year in order to maintain her position as a credible voice for women.

Speaking candidly today to LA’s NBC news, Kim said she came up with the tri-annual nude photo idea when she noticed that the greater public was starting to have more interest in the other Kardashians and Jenners.

“I mean like, I’m not getting any younger,” said Kim.

“I’ve been vocal on women’s issues for over a decade and this reaffirms my position. There’s nothing more empowering for a young woman than to get naked on the internet. Owning your own sexual content is such an amazing feeling.”

Hitting back at the Insta-famous wife of Yeezy, controversial Australian author Germaine Greer said that if the American posts another nude photograph in the name of feminism, she’ll lie down on the couch and tie a plastic bag over her head.

Greer argues that this type of passenger feminism is what’s at the core of everything that’s wrong with the movement today.

“I don’t want to live on this planet anymore,” said Greer.

“All the hard work women have done over the past century is being destabilised by people like Kim Kardashian. Every time she posts a nude picture of herself, she cheapens what it is to be a woman.”

“Right now, I”m tossing up whether to get a gut full of Sainsbury Shiraz and throw myself in Camden lock or put on some Joan Baez and pull a plastic bag over my head.”
