REGISTERED MEMBERS OF the Reclaim Australia movement enjoyed the only day of the year it’s legal for them to consume Turkish food.

The right-wing organisation says it allows its members to eat ethnic food on ANZAC Day as a mark of respect toward our former foe.

Kebabs have been enjoyed by heavily intoxicated and mercilessly hungover Australians for decades, but the delightful Turkish meat roll has been banned under the Reclaim Australia charter – effectively banning its members from eating them.

Other food stuffs outlawed by the neo-conservative group include sushi, Yum-Cha-style Chinese and other predominantly Asian cuisines.

Hoxton Park-based Reclaim Australia member Darryen Slatnen says while the kebab was a nice treat, he prefers to end a night out on the piss with something Australian.

“If me and the boys go out on the piss, we like to finish up with a meat pie from the servo or we bend through until a cafe opens and we can get a bacon and egg roll,” he says.

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m not racist when I say that kebabs taste like camel shit – it’s just that I like to protect Australian jobs and industry by choosing local produce,”

“There’s nothing wrong with loving your country.” he said.
