Channel 9 is under fire tonight for once again giving air time to yet another clearly unwell subject. This follows last week’s interview with NRL star Josh Reynold’s con artists ex-girlfriend, which was backed up tonight with a lenghty interview with former celebrity chef Pete Evans – who is now veering into the QAnon world of anti-5G conspiracies.

Seven is being taken to task on social media for their indifferent attitude to Evans’ newest fake COVID-19 cure: The new “fibrous crystals” diet based on different variations of the asbestos broth, which is based on a set of six naturally occurring silicate minerals found only in the outskirts of industrial China.

Viewers and food experts, however, took to social media to denounce the new meal and criticise Seven and Evans, who was recently sacked as a judge on the seven’s highest rating reality show My Kitchen Rules.

A high-ranking member of the CFMEU, John Blokeson, spoke to the Betoota Advocate this morning about the Evans diet, and in particular, his inclusion of a children’s Asbestos broth – which is listed as a suitable replacement for breast milk.

“We have spent 40 years trying to remove Asbestos from work sites around this country, and here is this idiot telling people to feed it to their children”

“I’m no health professional, but obviously neither is this bloke. I think he deserves to do time for this one”

However, the Australian Anti-Vaxxer movement have thrown their full support behind Evans, praising him for “sticking it to the corporate big pharma” and his unrelenting position towards questioning everything “mainstream”.

Increasingly irrelevant Australian cartoonist, Michael Leunig rushed to defend Evans when speaking to The Betoota Advocate this morning.

“Pete Evans is a rogue, a maverick, a mercenary for the skeptics. He might not be able to back his work with air-tight facts, but he is starting a conversation that needs to be had,”

“There has been no actual research into whether or not Asbestos broth might harm the human body. Let alone a babies body,”

“We live in a society that tells us our infants are supposed to depend on milk that comes out of their mothers teat. What are we dealing with here? Babies or cows?”

A DIY baby formula made from blended livers, bone broth and oils caused dieticians the most concern.

“In my view, there’s a very real possibility that a baby may die if this recipe becomes,” president of the Public Health Association of Australia, Professor Heather Yeatman.

Pete Evans responded to accusations that he may have lost the plot by grinning with a manic look in his eyes, while questioning the agenda of the World Health Organisation. He then said he was likely to be assassinated or something.

  1. research indicates there are many forms of asbestos…some more dangerous than others…there is no research which indicates any of it is safe under all circumstances…so why go there…especially as a food or dietary additive….so why even bother to go there????

  2. As a mother of four, a yoga practitioner and an Anti-Vaccinaiton advocate living on Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches I believe the Paleo diet is one of best things in my life and the only thing protecting my family from chemtrails…which EXIST!

    • I hope for your children’s sake they never contract measles. Vaccination has saved millions of children from suffering from diseases, many which can be life threatening as in the case of whooping cough, polio, diptheria, and measles. Your choice of not having vaccinations makes your own children a health hazard to others, a very selfish attitude

  3. I tried the Absestos broth with a pinch of arsenic and a dash of the organic compound trichloromethane, it cleared my sinuses and made my insides feel like they were on fire. Thanks Pete.

    • and to swallow it can lead to peritoneal mesothelioma. People are talking complete rubbish about things they have no knowledge of. Mesothelioma is incurable, takes decades to develop, and a horrendous condition.

  4. Anti vaccinators are cancer. Also chem trails dont exist you conspiracy theory low IQ’d whack job. Calling people sheep for not being a complete moron like yourself! Hahaha. Get your head examined!

  5. Now ! everybody know asbestos is perfectly safe when wet, so when you have finished your delicious broth around the family living room fire pit if you could just place yourself and of course your loved ones in the fully Palio body bags provided by that nice man in the hazardous encounter suite and calmly wait to desiccate that would be fantastic .

  6. Tom Glaister – interesting name for a mother of 4! Please keep your children away from mine. Your choice, your responsibility and your consequence. Don’t make it your choice; my consequence. If you’re advocating a Paleo diet which includes Asbestos in any form – you’re an idiot. I also live on the Northern Beaches; as did 4 generations of my family. It makes no difference where you live and bringing that up makes you a tosser as well.

  7. Sounds good enough to have with Fukushima Shellfish… Cooked in Frack Water… The Minister for Harmless Substances says so. Any of them really, Morrison, Dutton, Matthias Kormann all recommend this diet…

  8. The guy is a cook. Excellent at his job. Using it to promote a well proven carcinogen and a diet used by people in the past who grew to 150cm and died at 40(the paleo era in case you missed where it came from Pete) is irresponsible and plain stupid. Stick to cooking, although with those whacko ideas no one should risk being poisoned. Hardy’s are paying millions for poisoning people with asbestos who did not know what they were doing Now a numbskull is suggesting you voluntarily eat it and that it is good for you. Please shut this guy down and leave him to join the antivax kooks in dying. Sad they might take their unsuspecting families with them!

  9. Referring to sheilaa’s comment about non-vaccinated kids being a danger to others, I can’t quite understand why this would be. Does the vaccination not actually work? If it does, why would there be a problem in coming into contact with whatever has been vaccinated against?

    • The risk is more to children who are unable to be vaccinated for specific medical reasons (a compromised immune system as an example). These children’s primary form of protection is minimising possible exposure to illnesses such as measles.

Exposure to these mostly preventable illnesses will likely lead to more significant, potentially life threatening symptoms when compared to the risks faced by children with a healthy immune system who have not been vaccinated.

This is not to say that the children of anti-vaxxers face no risk from these illnesses themselves, rather that their unwillingness dramatically increases the overall pool of unvaccinated children who can potentially come into contact with these illnesses, and then potentially spread them among their more vulnerable peers.
