PICKING UP WHERE SHE left off yesterday, controversial senator-elect Pauline Hanson has announced plans today to release her own Haram Snack Pack, containing foodstuffs that are forbidden under Islamic Law.
Haram is an Arabic term meaning “forbidden” and is anything that is prohibited by the faith. Its antonym is halal.
The religious term haram can be applied to certain foodstuffs or food ingredients, such as alcohol or pork and also to foods, objects and people that would normally be halal but which were tarnished in some or other way, for example, meat slaughtered in a non-permitted way.
The One Nation representative spoke to the media earlier this afternoon.
“We’re planning to offer Australians an alternative to the halal snack pack,” she said.
“So we’re working on a ‘Haram Snack Pack’ that everyone can enjoy. It will have ingredients that the people who voted for me love, like bourbon. There is also be pork products and instead of chicken salt, the chips will be seasoned with crystal methamphetamine,”
“The chefs will also be encouraged not to wash their hands after they go to the toilet. We want as many offensive foodstuffs in this bitch as possible.”
More to come.
