Australia’s quadriennial sporting heroes, the Socceroos, are getting off buses now at the stadium now in Samara, Russia, in preparation for their do-or-die World Cup match against one of those blonde European countries.

With kick off at 10pm (AEST), millions of Australians are staying up rather late on a school night, in a hope to see the best round-ball footballers in the country continue their world cup glory behind the pool stages.

Australia has named an unchanged line-up from their last unlucky 2-1 loss France, with Andrew Nabbout up front, guarding the well-worn Mooy-Jedinak-Rogic defensive triangle Mark Milligan continues alongside Trent Sainsbury as the centre-back pairing.
The team they are versing, which is one of those countries that everyone says has good public healthcare and education, is reportedly probably better than France, but also, we could have a screamer as we often do with our backs against the wall – and if that is the case, anything can happen.
As our boys begin warm ups, the blonde opponents (plus one black guy), are tipped to be steaming in with a bit of momentum, after beating one of those latin American countries that are really small but pretty famous for soccer.
