After appearing on The Project from South Africa where he had just been ejected from jungle reality show I’m a Celebrity, Shane Warne has furiously labelled Channel 10 journalist, Waleed Aly “arrogant”, “smug” and “a dick” after the panel host had the hide to ask the former international cricketer about his troubled charity foundation.

“We have nothing to hide. We welcome any audit,” said the great SKW.

“It is really disappointing that people want to come after some good people that have raised a lot of money and made a serious difference to seriously underprivileged children.

However, when Aly suggested he would reserve judgment until the results of an independent audit were made public Warne leapt straight onto the front foot.

“Mate, this interview was supposed to be about me on some reality TV show. Have you forgotten who I am?”

“You can hate me or love me. But you will respect me.

Wrong-footed ... Shane Warne was unimpressed by the line taken by Waleed Aly in his interview.

Warne’s comments were met by a boisterous applause from The Project’s live audience, before co-host Carrie Bickmore decided to throw in her two cents.

“He’s right you know, Waleed. It’s Shane Fucking Warne!”

“He’s got at least six more scandals in him before we can really condemn him for anything. Don’t you remember the ball of the century,”

“Forget the texting, forget the smoking, forget the alleged misappropriation of charitable donations. Just think about that ball!”

The episode was cut short after the entire crowd became unruly, chanting “S-K-WARNE! S-K-WARNE!” at the top of their lungs.

Meanwhile, the investigators looking into the Shane Warne Foundation have revealed that upon looking through old photos of Shane Warne, they have come to the conclusion that Shane Warne was very grouse at cricket.

“We just can’t stop thinking about that ball. His first ever ball on English pitch. It still gives me a blood.” says independent auditor Barry Ridgeway.

“The charity is all good as far as I can tell. Fuck, he was grouse at cricket.”

Shane Warne has taken to instagram today to post more shirtless selfies.

  1. Fuck’n’oath. As a left leaning, greenie concerned with gender equality – I have to agree. It really all comes back to that ball. Warnie can be a dickhead for the rest of his life and be so politically incorrect that he leaves as breathless…….as breathless as when he bowled that ball.
Australia actually needs leg spinners more than it needs political correctness …..and er… good behavior. Yes, we need leg spinners. Leg spinners are good for our sense of self worth.
