Following the news that the Wallabies are once again a competitive force in world rugby after their 9-point win over Ireland on the weekend, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has rushed to meet with the leader of our enemy nation to build a healthy relationship before our next international match against the All Blacks on the 18th of August.

“I just want to make sure that our nation’s differences, in terms of rugby tactics, doesn’t boil over in the months leading up to this match and the subsequent Bledisloe matches.” he said.

This comes after US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un begin their historic summit in Singapore today, a sign of the times in terms of international diplomacy and bread-breaking.

The two leaders arrived at the luxurious Capella Hotel on the resort island of Sentosa at about 11:00am (AEST) to begin the meeting.

After posing for photos and exchanging pleasantries, the two leaders headed away for what were expected to be one-on-one talks, with translators only.

They emerged about 45 minutes later before moving onto a meeting involving top diplomats from both sides. The summit is the first between a North Korean leader and a sitting US president.

This historic meeting has reportedly moved Malcolm Turnbull moved to make amends with the New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, after years of hostilities between our two nations.

“This prickly relationship has been entirely born from a decade of Richie McCaw effectively cheating his way towards an 85% win rate over the Wallabies. I understand this is not how New Zealanders look at it, which is why it is important for me to demand this meeting with Prime Minister Ardern a week before she is due to give birth”

“I think we can negotiate a deal where that both countries will sign on to regarding coming in from the side of the ruck”
