Donald Trump has back-flipped on his recent efforts to bridge relationships with the black community by sensationally calling to ban all African Americans from all golf courses across America. The proposed racial exclusion policy will take trial at Donald Trump’s privately owned course the Trump National, in New Jersey.
It appears Mr Trump has taken a leaf out of former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s very own discriminative political ambitions.
In 2009 the Abbott lead into an election with his six point plan for Australia to #StopTheBoats (illegal asylum seekers) – It seems the duo are clearly cut from the same cloth, as Trump is currently trending worldwide across social media with his hashtag #StopTheBrothers.
This recent policy change is believed to stem from actor Samuel L. Jackon’s revelation on Seth Meyers late night show, stating that Donald Trump cheats at golf.
“I clearly saw that white boy chump hook a ball into a lake, on his own course. And his caddy told him, ‘Weeee found it.'” Jackson said Trump’s caddy didn’t appear to be wet. Allegations of Trump cheating in golf are nothing new, however.
Mr Trump, clearly furious with the actor’s fighting words, took to his twitter account, writing several heated posts to his 5.6 million followers but more specifically to Samuel L. Jackson and the black community:
@SamuelLJackson you calling my caddy a liar bro? #stopthebrothers
Did Jedi school teach you nothing!? Can’t swing a lightsaber, can’t swing a golf club. #StarBORES #stopthebrothers
The Hateful 8.. More like the Hateful back nine holes with @SamuealLJackson, Ammirght!?
I think I’m going to invite @SamuealLJackson and @TigerWoods to ride my private G6. Let’s call it “Flakes on a Plane” LMFAO
Mr Trump followed up on his twitter outburst with a statement earlier this morning to CNN.
“With Tiger Woods slowly disappearing into irrelevance, I think we can all agree that this gentlemen’s agreement to allow African Americans to not only work and maintain our golf courses, but to also sometimes play on them… has gone long enough. Let the boys be boys.. Figuratively speaking.”
When further questioned around the origins for the newly proposed Republican policy, Trump responded:
“I am not a sore loser. This has nothing to do with my own ability to play golf… I am only saying what most of America is thinking,”
However, political rivals have countered Trump’s argument, with hopeful Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders stating that “most of Americans can’t afford to play golf, let alone be members of golf clubs,”
“Most of America is too unfit to play golf anyway, 70% of our nation’s young men and women under 25 are either not medically or not mentally fit for the armed forces. How many of them do you think are out there playing golf,”
“Shut the fuck up Donald”
