Executives at Channel 9 have today ordered their talent and cryogenics department to prepare The Voice judge and former pop star, Delta Goodrem, ahead of the much anticipated seventh season of The Voice.

The Nine Network has today revealed that the iconic Aussie songstress will be back for a sensational seventh series and can officially announce that she’ll be once again joined by superstar coaches Kelly Rowland and Boy George, in their famous red chairs.

While executives at the media empire state that, Delta, as the youngest member on the panel is nowhere near as outdated as their rugby league personalities, they stand by their decision to cryogenically freeze the 33-year-old between each season finale – in order to keep her focused on her new career.

“It’s mostly about keeping her in character” said a spokesperson from the Network.

“If she was to roam around Bondi between seasons there is a fair chance she might get distracted and leave us with an empty chair to fill with a Madden brother, or even worse, someone who has previously won a talent show on a rival network”

“If she decides she wants to release an album this year, then maybe we can talk about giving her the summer off – providing she is willing to do it in partnership with us”

Delta’s return to human life follows a highly successful sixth season which saw millions tuning in to hear the jaw-dropping tones of King Judah Kelly as he took out the title of The Voice Australia, along with $100,000 in prize money and a recording contract with Universal Music.
