SPOKESPEOPLE from the Kremlin have today opened up to The Betoota Advocate about the hostility between our leaders – revealing a worrying sentiment that is shared by not only Vladmir Putin, but also the majority of Russia.
In the wake of a confrontation between Abbott and Putin, on the sidelines of the APEC leaders’ summit in Beijing, Putin’s staffers can now say that Putin has “never been intimidated” by the Australian Prime Minister and will not bow to any requests or demands made by him.
Abbott is said to have held the ex-KGB leader complicit in the downing of flight MH17 and was calling for Russia to apologise and consider restitution. This was not received well by Putin who was already visibly hostile about comments made by Abbott last month.
Mr Abbott had famously promised to “shirtfront” the iconic Russian leader – known for his hunting and judo prowess – over Russian military involvement in the aircraft’s downing. With the AFL term ‘shirtfront’ now acknowledged internationally as a physical and ‘intimidating confrontation’.
The talks on Tuesday – originally billed as a serious confrontation – followed a few brief words on Monday evening. While Mr Abbott left the talks feeling positive about the future between our nations, things quickly turned sour when it become public knowledge that Putin had laughed off their talks shortly after.
The Kremlin have said that almost an hour after their discussions, Putin had another collection of world leaders “in stitches” as he ridiculed Abbott’s timid and meek approach to the issue.
Between roars of laughter, Putin was heard screaming:
“What a drop nuts! (laughter) My advisors warned me of this!!! All Australians are soft cocks!”
It is said the other delegates present were leaders from Ireland and Madagascar, as well as a “collection of South American representatives”.
It is has been reported that these comments made news in Russia first, resulting in a jovial and patriotic cheer from Putin’s adoring followers.
The Abbott Goverment are yet to comment on the extremely embarrassing response to what has been touted as the APEC SHIRTFRONT SHOWDOWN.
